Down Payment Options
  • Equal Payments: Total debt divided by the number of months in the plan;
  • $10: If the above amount is less than $10, the minimum down payment is $10

What's required?
  • After you initiate a payment plan online, you are required to make your down payment within 4 days
  • If you do not have tow and storage fees, down payments can be made online, otherwise, please visit one of the payment centers
  • To avoid being towed, the down payment must be made within 24 hours of the boot being placed. To request a 24-hour tow extension, motorists must call 312-744-7275 or use the "Chat with Parker" window at the bottom of this page.
  • Any outstanding fees must be paid in addition to your down payment

How can I enroll in a payment plan online?
You can enroll in an Early or Standard Payment Plan via the Department of Finance website at https://parkingtickets.chicago.gov/PaymentPlanWeb/home. Please ensure that you have your driver's license number or notice number (10-digit number) on hand when enrolling.


Why do I have to provide an email address in order to enroll in an online payment plan?
The City requires an email address in order to send applicable payment plan notifications.


What if I don't have a personal computer or can't access the internet from my home?
You can visit any Chicago Public Library (CPL) and use a computer to sign up or manage monthly payments. For library hours and locations please visit CPL's website at www.chipublib.org.


I have multiple payment plans and made a payment on the wrong plan. What do I do?
Please contact customer service at (312)-744-7275 for assistance.


I am enrolled in an online payment plan and I paid more than the monthly minimum. Does the additional amount paid go towards my next monthly payment?
Yes. A future monthly payment due is credited by the amount which was overpaid.


Why are some of my tickets missing from the "Eligible Violation(s)" page?
If your Driver's License Number is not associated with your violation(s), they will not be reflected on the "Eligible Violation(s)" page. You may call (312)744-7275 to have your driver's license number added to your account.


Why do I have to send in a copy of my Driver's License for my tickets to be online payment plan eligible?
Online payment plans require a driver's license number be associated with your tickets.


All of the tickets I selected for my online payment plan are not reflected on my receipt?
Only the ticket(s) to which the down payment was applied will appear on your receipt.


I cannot access the payment plan portal after I started an online payment plan
Because the processing of your online payment plan is in progress, your plan will not be available to view for 30 minutes.
